What if there was a highly contagious virus that spread throughout the world, infecting nearly everyone. This virus has absolutely no side-effects, except for one:</p> <p>Everyone's analytical and reasoning power slowly increases, over the course of a few years, until it becomes roughly equivalent to Einstein's.</p> <p>What would the world be like? How would the world's economies be affected? What would happen to the stock exchanges around the world? Would politics become more or less corrupt? How would public policy change? How would law evolve? What would happen to TV, newspapers, and the internet? Would crime decline or rise? Would there still be homelessness and poverty? How would wealth be redistributed? Would the middle class grow or shrink? How would art change? Would people express themselves differently?
