As far as I know, there's really no such place as Happiness, Arizona.

I was looking through your pictures and I like your style. You have a splendid way of capturing things.

Great how the overall dark quality of the image doesn't detract from the range of detail, even in the shadows. I keep playing mental scrabble with the sign letters on top - 'No Mopey Ever'. Maybe I just need some sleep :-)

Makes for an interesting statement or lack of statement with particular letters missing. The b&w a great equaliser that produes an overall atmosphere and perception. Happiness, Arizona...sounds like a good movie title to me!
I know for sure there's no such place as "happiness!"

No Happiness (although there was a Happiness, Arizona in a Twilight Zone episode) but we do have Why, Arizona. Or is that Why Arizona? :-)

Dawn wins the prize! The title of this photo came from that Twilight Zone episode. I couldn't actually remember where I took this photo... maybe in the deserted expanses of Texas or New Mexico, so I just decided to give it a name. Even though I wasn't in Happiness, Arizona I was continually reminded of that particular TV episode while I was in this town.
The initial premise of the show was that the townsfolk decided to rename their run-down, battered town in order to get it back on the right track and make it sound more inviting to visitors. I couldn't help but imagine this sign existing in that place.

Just short of one "N"
Fantastic B&W, really feels like something out of the twilight zone!

I liked the atmosphere right away. Then, I enjoyed the process of guessing what the sign originally said. And once that was done, the image had an even greater impact. Really good work on this Brandon!

These old signs are great, especially with a missing letter now and then and maybe a misspelling. I was looking through your archives, can't believe I've not been here before. Love your work and your way of seeing the world around you.
