From the same abandoned candy factory as the previous photo.
There's something special about window light.

Absolutely. The lighting is really wonderful here and the hues are superb as well - very fitting for the scene.

Excellent, Brandon. You're right about the lighting. Really like the colors, too.

"Oh sure, I am at extension 3350, or is that 3548? Either way, I am easy to find." Excerpt from a conversation, April 1997.
I love this shot Brandon. The extension numbers look as though they were painted with nail polish.

love abandoned factories, with their dusty windows filtered light and peeling paint textures, this is gorgeous

I think its about the latent quality of lighting from a window, the way it highlights an area with an opaqueness and transluscent quality of light that's not in any sense, complete light. It's like seeing something in part without seeing it completely. For me that's where the attraction comes from, the place between "specific" and "non-specific" light.
Here I like the way it brings the texture of peeling paint and bird droppings into detail purely by the creation of shape and form with light on one side and sahdow on the other. Even the shape of the glass has a part to play in the refraction of light it produces and adds subtle depth and lineal qualities to what it highlights.

Indeed there is! Casts a very well defined but soft shadow. Makes you wonder why they scrawled the numbers on the wall there.
